On the most patriotic weekend of the year continue your celebration of America’s 250 th at the RedSkelton Museum of American Comedy in Vincennes, Indiana. Sunday, July 5, 2026 will be “FreedomDay” at the museum!

Red Skelton filmed a television special at the Disney Parks in 1976 to celebrate the bicentennial. This
hour-long special features music and dancing and Red’s famous version of the Pledge of Allegiance. The
show will begin at 12:15 PM in the small theater within the museum.
Visitors to the museum will also see the new summer exhibit, “The Year of the Pledge”, featuring
artifacts and more information about Red’s Pledge of Allegiance. There also will be a hands-on
children’s exhibit with information and activities about the American flag.
The museum just received several new additions to their collection of original paintings by Red and 14
new patriotic themed paintings will be on display for the first time in the new Lothian and Red Skelton
Gallery of Fine Art.
The public is invited to attend this event free of charge from 12 -5 pm on Sunday, July 5, 2026.
